   Welfare Quality has set up web pages, to explain online, how the Welfare Quality® assessment works, what the basic principles are and how the data are transformed into scores. The data obtained on a farm have been made available for the farmer, by using a login to get access to the specific data and the final scoring.

Welfare Quality® developed standardized ways of assessing animal welfare and a standardized way of integrating this information to enable farms and slaughterhouses to be assigned to one of four categories (from poor, to good animal welfare).
A series of welfare measures and software to calculate welfare scores were developed. The data are stored in a database and used to calculate statistics as well as to provide feed-back to producers and simulate potential improvements. Read more about the scoring system and statistics
