@start-1@Welfare Quality® welcomes four new members to the Advisory Committee: Mrs Nancy De Bryine (Federation for European Veterinarians), Dr Sarah Kahn (International Organisation for Animal Health, OIE), Christina Nygaard (COPA-COGECA) and Dr Ken Laughlin (EFFAB). The Advisory Committee consists of various key stakeholders, including representatives from consumer and welfare organisations, retailers and producers, all of whom have a clear interest in the results of the project. The Advisory Committee advises the Steering Committee on the general aims and methods of the project @end-1@@start-2@and on the inclusion of specific issues and strategies. Professor John Law (University of Lancaster) has joined the Scientific Board, which consists of a core group of six well-respected scientists whose collective expertise encompasses most facets of the project. The task of the Scientific Board is to draw on their collective expertise to ensure that the scientific and technical content of research reports and proposals prepared by project members is of a high quality.
