| | | | | | | | Expressions of Interest for projects of different sizes and costs are invited. Although there is no minimum budget for individual projects the maximum is unlikely to exceed € 125,000. European projects are funded according to two main costing systems, (1) full costing for industrial partners and most research institutes, and (2) additional costing, which is only applicable for private persons, universities and some research institutes having an agreement with the EC. There are two modalities for full costing, i.e. full cost with actual indirect costs, and full cost with a flat rate of 20% for indirect costs. Detailed information can be found on www.cordis.lu/fp6/getsupport.htm. A new partner within an EU funded project is required to sign the existing consortium agreement, which includes rules about partner’s rights, obligations and the decision making system. However, first of all, current partners have to agree on the candidate partner in order to avoid a potential conflict of interest.
